Bunice Camara, 96, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born to her late parents, Olide and Estelle Quebedeaux on June 7, 1928 in Carencro, Louisiana. She enjoyed quilting and fishing with her late husband at Toledo Bend.
She is survived by her children, Ivy Dugas (Patsy) of Vinton, Louisiana, Frances Ahearn (Jim) of Orange, Texas, Nancy Derrick (John) of Tyler, Texas, Weston Dugas (Colleen) of Alvin, Texas, Julienne Camara (Dorothy Way) of Beaumont, Texas, and Shawn Camara (Roxanne) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; along with numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Bunice is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Camara; her parents; along with three brothers and three sisters.
A Rosary will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Vinton, Louisiana on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Following the Mass at the church, there will be a reception in the church hall.
