Warren Dean Koons

Warren Dean Koons was born September 26, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Grandparents William and Margaret Wilken lovingly raised Warren and his siblings. At the age of 18 Warren started his military service in the United States Marine Corps and later reenlisted in the United States Army and finished his 23 years of service to our country in the National Guard retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. At the age of 22, he married the lovely and sweet Caryline Sue Bennett. Married for over 56 years, the two were inseparable. Warren served the Los Angeles County public transportation system driving many different routes of RTD buses and operated the Green Line for the Metro Rail. He retired after 25+ years. Warren led his family with faith and love. His children will forever hold him in their hearts. Warren was welcomed beyond the veil on January 20, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona, by his Sweet Caryline, his son Dean, grandparents and brother Wayne. Also preceding him in death were his parents Charles Koons and Annie Wilken. Warren is survived by his brother Russell, sisters Marilyn and Barbara Ann, his daughters Kathryn (David Ramirez), Allison (Robert Weil), Ruth (David Patterson), Melinda (Roger Humphrys), his son Thomas Koons, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, with one more great- grandchild on the way.
