Warren Dean (Bud) Davis, 82, of Big Bear Lake, California, passed away February 5, 2016. He was born in Oklahoma on March 11, 1933. Bud graduated from Excelsior High School. He was married to Diana Lois Davis (Lichty) on June 29, 1951. Bud worked for Douglas Aircraft, Pepsi Cola, and Bellflower Unified School District. He was a Pastor at the 1st Baptist Church of Big Bear Lake, CA and he had a passion for the Lord. He was survived his wife Diana, 2 sons, Calvin (Barbara) and Phillip (Judy) , Oldest son Miltis deceased (Leslee) 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Jimmye Schauffler. Bud was a very self-motivated man. He loved people and never knew a stranger, and he never lost a friend. If you were his friend, it was for life. He loved his family and was involved in everyone’s lives. He loved his Lord and was very active at his church, teaching Bible Study, cooking for the Men’s Breakfast, overseeing the maintenance crews, preaching on occasion, performing marriages, conducting funerals…whatever and wherever he was needed. He loved Diana, his wife of nearly 65 years, his best friend and companion since the age of 14. He was a terrific son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a wonderful example of a Christian, and he will be greatly missed.
