Born in Saddle, Arkansas on July 30, 1927. After marrying in 1942 she left Arkansas coming to the West coast. She lived over 70 years in the Victor Valley area almost 70 years in her home on Tracy Street. She was a loving and caring housewife and mother. As a member of the First Baptist Church of Victorville she was a Sunday School teacher and helped in the preparations of many meals for the members. She often talked about the early times of the church and how she went door to door to canvass the neighborhoods.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Bert Rogers in 2005. She is survived by her daughters Phyllis Schmalhofer of Virginia and Patty Armas of Hesperia; son Charles Rogers of Victorville; grandchildren Monica Littlepage of Virginia, Krista Spring, Randy Oakes of Hesperia, Charlie B Rogers, Nathan Rogers of Cal City, and Sarah Rogers of Apple Valley; thirteen great grandchildren and sisters Helen Johnson of Victorville and Mae Rogers of Hesperia.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 30th at the Victor Valley Mortuary 15609 11th Street, Victorville, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wanda's name to the mission fund of The First Baptist Church of Hesperia, 9280 Maple Ave, Hesperia, California
