Patricia Diane Martin passed away on August 9, 2021. She was home with her girls. She was born July 14, 1942 on Parris Island, South Carolina. Her father was a career Marine and met her mother, who was a dancing instructor, when he was stationed in New Jersey. Patricia, or Pat as most knew her, moved to New Jersey at age 13 and considered herself a life long "Jersey Girl." Pat lived in California for more than 50 years, the majority of that time in the High Desert. She met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Martin, in 1978. Pat worked for San Bernardino County for 22 years and retired in 2002. Pat was a member of the Apple Valley First Baptist Church, now Redeemer Church, for 50 years. She is preceded in passing by her husband Ken, her parents and sisters, and her grandson Eric. She is survived by her daughters Michele, Nora and Sarah; her stepsons Kenneth Junior and Thomas and stepdaughter Roberta; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Pat requested donations be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
