Lucy Nava Macam, 77, was blessed with her angel wings on November 29, 2016, at home with her loving husband and love of her life Bernamen Macam by her side. She was born May 18, 1939 in Mexico, to the parents of Pedro Nava and Maria de Jesus Morales. Lucy had five brothers and four sisters. S he became an accomplished seamstress and used those skills throughout her life to design and create clothing and costumes for friends and family. Lucy met Bernamen Macam in El Paso, Texas, who was an Army reserve soldier stationed nearby. They married on February 14, 1959 in Los Angeles where they began their family. Determined to be an active member of our great country she studied and worked hard and in 1977 she was naturalized as a United States citizen and received her diploma as a high-school graduate. She served as a translator and aide for the local school district as well as a den-mother for her two son’s Cub Scouts troops. Lucy’s interests included sewing, quilt-making, reading, writing, music, and travel. She has always held a strong faith in God and had always been active in many church activities. Along with her own children, Lucy helped raise other family members who have grown to become respectful adults themselves. She is loved by many and will always be known for her compassion and enduring love for her entire family. Lucy Nava Macam will be survived by her husband Bernamen Macam, her son Marco Macam, her son and daughter-in-law Bernamen Jr. and Lisa Macam, and her beloved grandsons, Devin, Joseph, and Cameron Macam
