Gustavo was born on October 16, 1951 to Elias Rodriguez and Francisca Nevarez in Mexico City, Mexico.
In the 1970's, Gustavo emigrated from Mexico and established himself in El Monte, California. It was there that he met his spouse, Melly Rodriguez, whom he married on July 21, 1984. He later started his own construction business, moved to West Covina, California and together they raised their three children, Goldmar, Tracy Lyn, and Gus Holden. In 2004, they made the decision to move to Hesperia, California. Shortly after, Melly predeceased him on December 23, 2004. Gustavo continued to call Hesperia home for 19 years.
Gustavo and Melly are survived by their three children and five grandchildren. Gustavo also leaves behind numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
