Isabelle James age 87 went to be with the Lord Jesus on June 23, 2019, in Victorville, California. Isabelle was born in North Dakota to John and Legata Bachmeier and raised on her family farm with her four brothers Leo, Johnny, Ed and Ted, until she went to school in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Isabelle loved traveling with her family from North Dakota, Alaska and the West Coast as they camped and enjoyed the outdoors. Isabelle loved berry picking, gardening and spending time with the Lord praying for her children and grandchildren. Her dream to build a log home with her husband Harry in Ninilchik, Alaska became a reality in mid-1970’s; they worked many long summer days completing it with their own hands. She moved from Rialto, California to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and then to Hamilton, Montana. Isabelle loved to bake and was known for her amazing pies, cookies and kuchen. She loved Baseball; her favorite teams were the Mariners, Dodgers, Angels but most of all she just loved watching the games being played. She is survived by her four children, John in Beaumont, California, Ed in Oak Hills, California, Rick in Lewiston, Idaho and Sharon in Hamilton, Montana: Ten Grandchildren, Twenty Great Grandchildren “known as little grandma to them” and One Great Great Granddaughter. Her family and friends will be celebrating her life on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 2pm at the Desert View Funeral Home in Victorville, California. There will be a reception following at 3pm.
