Guadalupe Palomo, 74, of Hesperia, California unexpectedly and tragically passed away with her husband, of 47 years, Lazaro Palomo Hernandez, on early Saturday morning, December 24, 2016. “Lupe” as she was known, was born February 13, 1942 in Sinaloa, Mexico, to Manuel and Librada Benitez and sister to Ofelia, Graciela, Jose Manuel, Maria del Refugio, Gustavo, Alfonzo, Martha, Maria Elena, Rigoberto and Bibiana. Guadalupe’s spunkiness and love for life is easily summed up by her life theme, “don’t worry be happy.” She proudly worked for Lawry’s for over 16 years where she made many lifelong friends. She and her husband moved to Victorville, California in the early 90s to open Sinaloa Mexican Restaurant, which quickly became a local favorite. Upon the restaurant closure, she dedicated herself to taking care of Lazaro and control his diabetes, she loved her flower and herb garden, she always had her beautiful flowers displayed on her dining room table. Lupe loved her casino Bingo, she was an avid player for many years and traveled with friends to many casinos in Southern California, but her favorite was always San Manuel Bingo, she loved the bus trips any day of the week with her friends that became family. Anyone that speaks of Lupe will tell a story about how special she made them feel. She always had a little gift and a meal ready for whomever came to visit her, she put so much love into her meals. She was the first to wish everyone a Happy Birthday with a song, early in the morning, especially Las Mananitas. She was a true lady, strong, firm and she loved a dirty joke. Guadalupe is survived by her only daughter Sandra, a U.S. Army Veteran, and her beautiful grandbabies Thomas and Luciana.
