Dorothy Ann Vetting

Dorothy Ann Vetting passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on August 9, 1933, she was known for being a strong independent woman who took care of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was born in Kansas and met the love of her life Kenneth. They were married for forty-eight years and raised three daughters in Wisconsin. Dorothy and Ken moved to California in 1972 where they continued their careers until they retired. After Ken’s passing in 2001, Dorothy eventually made her way to Truewood by Merrill, formerly known as Bridgecreek where she lived out the rest of her life.

She is survived by her daughters Catherine and Cynthia, son-in-law (Lyle); grandchildren Sarah, (Allen), Jeremy, (Rheana), and Cassandra, (Mathew); great-grandchildren Mason, (Maddy), Avery, Jackson, Lilly, Travis, Charlotte, Natasha and Micah; and beloved nephew Jake and (Virginia).

Dorothy’s life was characterized by devotion to her family and keeping her family’s legacy alive after her husband passed 23 years ago. She will be remembered for her generosity, spunky personality, and loving heart.
