Dolores was born in Toronto, Canada at St. Joseph's Hospital on February 29, 1940 and moved to California at the age of 23.
She is predeceased by her parents, Frank Ross, Audrey (Ross) Watanabe and Richard Watanabe her stepfather.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her brother William (Bill) Ross, his longtime partner Earnell Harris, William’s three daughters Monica Ross, Stephanie Beckett (Bryan), Michelle McIlveen (Norm).
She will be cherished and remembered by her best friend of 72 years, Rose Budynski, her beloved nieces and nephews Linda Robinson (George), Darryl Budynski (Michaela), Brian Budynski, Sherry Johnson (Dean), Charlene Pugliese (Domenic), her Godson, Percy Alston (Annie) and Daryl West (Manny) and many great nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her friends Lorraine and David Dauk and Robin Fox, and may others too numerous to mention.
Dolores was an animal lover and had many animals in her life time. She is survived by her beloved dog Jackie, who she rescued.
Dolores was an accomplished woman who graduated high school at the age of 16. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She loved her family, friends, cooking, music, dancing and entertaining.
The family would like to thank Angela and her wonderful staff at Desert Horizon Residential Care home for taking such good care of Dolores in her final days. Special thanks to ChaCha for giving extra comfort to Jackie.
