William "Bill" F. Kelly II

William F. “Bill” Kelly II, 86, of Victoria, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 27, 2024. Bill was born January 9, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Leah Geyer and William F. Kelly, Sr.

Bill graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1955 and was a member of the 1955 Stingaree boys’ State championship basketball team. He also received his Associates degree from Victoria College.

Bill served his country in the United States Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge in 1963. He retired from Union Carbide after 40 years of service and was an active member of First English Lutheran Church. After his retirement, he worked for Colonial Funeral Home for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Olinda Gerdes Kelly; daughters, Dana Fowler (Dale) of Victoria, Karyn Hughes (Jim) of Houston; sister, Kathleen Urban (William) of Kingston, Washington; grandchildren, Kelly Briones (Joey) of Victoria, Karyl Fowler of Austin, Kayleigh White of Houston, Aubree Hughes of Houston, Ethan Hughes of Virginia and two great-grandchildren, Baylor and Gracyn Briones.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Gawthorne.

Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church with funeral services to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Chip Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dale Fowler, Jim Hughes, Joey Briones, Andrew Marks, William Urban and Johnathan Urban.

Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Bruchmiller, Ken Rippstein, Danny Hiller, Wayne Jacobs, William Urban III and David Urban.

Memorial donations may be made to First English Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
