Wayne Blevins McCutcheon, 78, of Victoria passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born July 20, 1935 in Alpine, TX to the late William Franklin and Elizabeth Blevins McCutcheon. Wayne served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a supervisor for Union Carbide in the HP1 Unit and retired after 44 years, he was also a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Wayne was an avid fisherman, loved to play baseball and softball, but most of all loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Gail Cranfill McCutcheon; daughter, Holly McCutcheon of Victoria; son, Mitch McCutcheon of Brenham; grandchildren, Ariana Gail (Daniel) Wade of Runaway Bay, TX, Samuel Wayne McCutcheon of Victoria, Morgan Jeanine McCutcheon of Victoria and great grandchildren, Ethan, Clayton, Blake, Kaci, and Riley Wade.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3002 Miori Lane, with Rev. Stephen Carson officiating. Interment with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Stevens, Ray Manning, Jimmy Nix, Ben Benevidez, Daniel Wade and Joe Flores.
