Sonia Garcia

Sonia was born in Ganado, Texas to the late Betty Leal De Los Santos and Bernardo De Los Santos. Her smile and laugh were one of a kind. She loved life and had so much faith that she would say God was her best friend. She was amazing! She loved and cared for her husband for years after his stroke and she never complained; she took care of him with unconditional love. Her children were definitely her world. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Her Gabriella was her sunshine; she adored her. She was a hard working woman and always had energy. She was a strong and positive woman. Besides helping her sister at the BBQ restaurant, she spent time with her cats (Jackson, Mama and Snow Bell). She loved watching TV regularly and always made sure her family knew she loved them. She lightened everyone’s life she met. She had the biggest heart and a terrific personality. She left this world too soon. She was extra special and will truly be missed by many. Mom, we will love you forever.

Sonia is survived by her daughter, Carrie Garcia; son, Robert Garcia, Jr. (Melissa); granddaughter, Gabriella Garcia; sisters, Gloria Nevarez, Irene Perez (Alex), Janie De Los Santos, Christine Nevarez (Lupe) and Cory Nevarez; and half brothers, Casey De Los Santos and Benny De Los Santos.

Sonia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Garcia; father, Bernardo De Los Santos; mother, Betty Leal De Los Santos; and brothers, Bernard De Los Santos and Ricky De Los Santos.
