He was born in Victoria Texas to ER (Nook) Rode and Marge Huddleston Rode. He was a proud graduate of Victoria High School class of 1968. He married the love of his life in 1972 and started his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Lisa Domstead Rode; daughter Kari Halliburton (Jeremy) of Victoria, Texas; son Chad Rode (Virginia) of Pflugerville, Texas. Grandkids Kinli Halliburton, Zoie Rode and Alexander Rode. His sister, Jennifer Rode Hartman (Jim) of Victoria, Texas and so many nieces, nephews and very close friends that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronnye was an avid music lover who throughout the years enjoyed watching Austin City Limits with his family, rarely missing an episode. He was extremely proud of going back to University of Houston - Victoria to finish his business degree, while working a full-time job and raising a young family.
A Memorial Service for Ronnye will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 E. Mockingbird Lane Victoria, Texas 77904.
