Robert L (Bob) Denison, 87, passed away April 4, 2012. He was born on December 29, 1924 in Alpena, South Dakota, Gerald County to Archie Denison and Charlotte Milliken Denison. He married Lorene Marie Corder Denison in Houston on November 24, 1945 and to Evelyn Martin Denison in Victoria, TX on May 15, 1992. He attended Drake University and served as a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force during WWII as a Flight Navigator. Bob worked for the DuPont Plant as an Instrument and Electrical Foreman for thirty two years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral where he was an Usher for many, many years and also a member of the St. Joseph High School Fathers Club and Golden Crescent Antique Car Club
Robert is survived by his wife, Evelyn Martin Denison; brother, Gary Denison and his children, Robert L Denison, Jr, David Mark Denison, Bernadette Marie Seale, Martha Jane Pafford, Mary Delores Rosalis, Richard Gerard Denison, John Christopher Denison, Joan Catherine Bodwell and Janet Jean Charbula; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; step children, Jeanne Martin, Charles Martin, wife Judy and two step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, sister Delores Denison Corder and brothers, Donald Denison and Richard Denison and daughter Charlotte Ann Perry.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 7 pm, Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 10 am, Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Pall Bearers will be his 11 grandsons.
Memorials may be made to St Joseph High School Endowment Fund, Our Lady of Victory School or Yellowstone Academy (Houston, TX)
He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and Mentor to multitudes, loved and respected by all!
