Mr. Wood was the owner of Wood Chem for 22 years before retiring. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member and Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #40 AF & AM.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Wood of Corpus Christi, Joyce Woodward of Houston; son, Kenneth Wood of Houston, TX; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wood is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Wood in 1985 and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 2 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Roeder officiating.
