Mitchell Robert "Bob" Kirkpatrick

Mitchell Robert (Bob) Kirkpatrick, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. He was born in Tyler, Texas, on October 18, 1932, to William Hugh and Jesse Irene Kirkpatrick. He worked in farming and ranching, and later for Shell Oil Company. He retired after more than 20 years of service.

He is survived by his four children: Pat Mejia (Joe), Trudi Buckley (Bubba), Donna Weinert (Gene), and Robert Kirkpatrick (Maria); eight grandchildren: Christopher and Daniel Mejia, Dustin and Jacob Buckley, Austin Weinert, and Jessica, Jonathan, and Jared Kirkpatrick; his brother, Jack Kirkpatrick, aunts, Billie Jo Bennet and Jewel Barnhardt, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Marjorie Callaway Kirkpatrick of Edna, his second wife, Virgie Hartman Kirkpatrick of Woodville, his sisters, Margaret Davey and Annie Laura Williams, and his brother, Bill Kirkpatrick.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, from 3:00-4:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria, Texas, with a memorial service following. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
