Mary Jane Dusek

She was born August 25, 1925 in La Grange, Texas to the late Albert and Mary Faldyn Seydler. Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Janet Dusek Hutson of Victoria; two grandchildren, Scott Michael Hutson and wife, Brooke of Houston, and Catherine Hutson Bacharach and husband, Brian of Dallas; and four great-grandchildren, Hallie and Charlie Bacharach and Parker and Caroline Hutson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Melvin Dusek and sisters, Evelyn Townsend, Martha Parma, and Lillian Kunetka.

Mary Jane was a devoted wife and mother. She loved traveling with Melvin, fishing, spending time in the country, cooking, and hosting Thanksgiving lunch which she did for over 50 years.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015, at 11:00am at First English Lutheran Church in Victoria.

Pallbearers for the service are Rob Condon, Lorenzo Garcia, Phil Kunetka, Marvin O’Neill, Mark Schindler and Terry Stock.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to physician Dr. Larry Riedel and her kind and compassionate caregivers, Sylvia Fryer, Patsy Ramirez, Debbie Rodriguez, Pompi Calbillo and Rosemary Garcia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First English Lutheran Church at, 516 N. Main, Victoria, Texas 77901 or the donor’s choice.
