Mary M. Buxkemper

Mary M. Buxkemper, 79, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born September 29, 1938 in Port Aransas to the late Claude W. and Lottie Mae Johnson Goode. Mary was a retired bus driver for VISD and a member of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Polly Dunnell, Patty (Tyson) Evans and Mary Lynn (James) Deaton, all of Victoria; sons, Ricky (Shelley) Cortright of Schroeder, Mike (Carrie) Cortright of Inez and David (Lisa) Cortright of Victoria; sister, Roberta Riley of Victoria; brothers, Billy Goode of Port O'Connor and Joe Goode of Yoakum; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin George Buxkemper, and grandchildren Ethan and Kevin.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm Friday, September 21, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels followed by a Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Travis, Cody, Jason, Christopher, Jerimy and James.

Memorials may be made to the Victoria Fire Department.
