Janie Martinez

Janie Martinez, 100, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was born May 28, 1918 in Ganado to the late Luis and Guadalupe Coronado Martinez. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Olivia Aguirre (Adolfo) of Victoria, Libby Archer (Larry) of Luders, and Amelia Arellano (Willie) of Abilene; her son, Lee Atilano (Vickie) of Tennessee; one sister, Josefine Martinez Chavez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Atilano and her son, Louis Atilano and her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from 5-7 pm followed by a Rosary at 7 pm. Graveside services will be at 10 am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Inez with Deacon Steve Borowicz officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Gonzales, Rocky Gonzales, Toby Gonzales and Louis Atilano.
