Deborah was born July 21, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas to Joyce (Funke) Buchfeld and the late William T. Ewing Jr. She was the second born of four kids. Deborah was a 1975 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. She went on to work for AT&T in operator services and later as a draftsman for 33 years.
Deborah spent her life devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved fishing and her margaritas on the rocks. In her later years she loved long drives on the backroads listening to music with her chocolate shake from Whataburger. She was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 2012 and spent every minute since her diagnosis making sure her children and grandchildren knew how much she loved them. She was cared for by her loving husband until her last breath.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Randal Loescher; mother, Joyce Buchfeld (Don); daughters, Jennifer Sims (Jason), Chelsea Espinoza (Manuel); sons, Nicholas Wilson, Christian Wilson (Ashton); step-daughter, Kristine Merritt (Jason); step-sons, Michael Loescher (Goong), Scott Loescher, Kyle Loescher; her beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ciavarella, Braden Merritt, Zachary Merritt, Kate Merritt, Xavier Espinoza, Ethan Espinoza, Rosalyn Wilson, Emma Wilson and Zoey Loescher; sister, Terry Dawson (Michael); brother Kenneth Troy Ewing (Sharon); half-sister, Julie Flores (Carlos); step-brother, Johnny Buchfeld; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, William T. Ewing Jr.

A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 E Mockingbird Ln, Victoria, TX 77904, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, beginning at 2pm.
