Claude F. Scott, 91, of Victoria, died May 25, 2018. Claude was born January 4, 1927 in Selma, Alabama to Claude D. and Edna Yeates Scott. Claude was in the United States Navy and served during WWII. He retired from Alcoa after 31 years. He worked in three different plants during his tenure in the areas of personnel and labor relations. In addition, he worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, Victoria. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and later, St. Francis Episcopal Church and served in many capacities over the years.
He was interested in community theatre, piloting small planes, and playing trumpet in a jazz band.
Claude is survived by his wife, Carolyn L. Poole Scott; daughters, Susan Bennett of San Antonio, Claudia Binder of Seattle, Rebecca Villarreal (Rene) of McAllen, and Judith Loyd of La Grange. He also had 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM, at St. Francis Episcopal Church,
3002 Miori Ln, Victoria, Texas, 77901.
