Anna Isabel John

Anna is survived by her daughters, Alice (Van) Shumbera, Dottie (Larry) Reese; sons, Michael (Helen) John, David (Norma) John; 9 grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William P. John; one granddaughter, Kelly Ann John; two sisters and three brothers.

She retired from Sears and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, Catholic Daughters, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4146 and Dacosta Hermann Sons.

She enjoyed gardening, growing lemon trees and loved her family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9-9:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM with burial to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Douglas John, Donald Reese, Kevin John, Refugio Nunez, Jerrod Washburn, Clifton Lange, Mark Jablonka and Steven Seale.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Victory Televised Masses or Hospice of South Texas.

We wish to thank the workers and staff at Twin Pines North and Hospice of South Texas for all the love and care they gave to mom.
