Predeceased by his parents Ted and Lil Harrison, he leaves behind his wife Shirley, daughters Nadine (Ron) and Debbie (David), step-children Raymond (Ann) and Tracey (Darren) and his grandchildren, Ashley, Tanya and Tyler and great grandson Rhylen, along with his siblings Doug (Pat), Cecil (Judy), Roger and Darlene (Mike), many relatives and friends.
Recently Larry was asked what he was most proud of about his life, he responded with "my family". We shared many family get togethers over the years that bring back fond memories. He loved the ocean, old cars, crabbing with his friends, fishing, camping and playing board games in his younger years. Later in life he became quite the gardener and loved canning fruit from his garden and sharing his preserves. He worked hard all his life and had several professions, which he devoted himself to and excelled at. He was as handy as they come and could build or fix anything even if he had no experience. He was a lifetime member of the Independent Order of Foresters (IOF). Larry cherished any relationship he established throughout his lifetime, staying in touch with everyone he knew. Since his passing he has been described to us as a gentle, nice man, always willing to help others or share his knowledge.
Larry fought a short battle with mesothelioma. He spent the last four months of his life surrounded with love by his family and the staff at Sidney All Care Residence, where he received the best care. Rest in peace Dad, knowing you were loved so much. Until we meet again.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
