Peggy Mae Elizabeth Langtry (born 1936) passed away on the morning July 23, 2015, at the Palliative Care Unit, Saanich Peninsula Hospital, where she has been surrounded and supported by friends and family throughout her three month stay there. Peggy was born in Calgary but spent her life on the West Coast.
She loved life and was always busy helping others, working on her farm, doing arts and crafts and hosting family get-togethers. She loved to travel and spent many summers in the Yukon, as well as traveling to Europe and Kenja, her “trip of a life time”. Where ever she went and whatever she did, Peggy touched hearts and lives. Peggy was one of those rare people who had a way of making everyone feel at home and part of the family. She was known for her wise counsel and strong, independent spirit. She will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
