It is with sad hearts that we, Pauline’s family, announce the passing of Pauline Marceca on November 2, 2023 at Broadmead Veterans Memorial Lodge in Victoria, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Tony) and son Gordon Marceca and is survived by her 2 children, Roslyn van der Wal (Cobble Hill, Victoria, B.C.), Jonathon Marceca (Lana) (Regina, Sask.), 6 grandchildren (partners), 1 great-grandson, 1 expected great grand-daughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of basking in the sunshine, her caring heart, her love and devotion to her family and her unwavering faith. She was born in Vancouver, B.C. where her love of the outdoors and adventure began. She often told stories of her cottage on Horseshoe Bay, her home in Kitsilano, her track and field medals and modeling experiences. She met her husband when her family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba and never looked back. They shortly thereafter moved to Regina where they started their own business distributing municipal equipment. Fer-Marc Equipment Ltd. (FME) is still a successful family run company recently celebrating its 60th year. Pauline was always there for support in the company but was very active in the 80’s and 90’s before moving back to the West Coast where she resided till now.
Pauline loved the outdoors, all kinds of adventurous activities, gardening, and poetry. She was an amazing seamstress and model. Her love of the Lord radiated from her on a regular basis and her caring for family was always present. To celebrate her 94 years of life, her family will be organizing a Celebration of Life, which will be announced at a future date. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park, Regina, Sask. with her mother and father, her husband and son.
Her family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to the teams at Sidney All Care and Broadmead Veterans Memorial Lodge. Your compassion and excellent care was above and beyond and is greatly appreciated.
Godspeed Mom, Grandma, Great-grandma. We love you. Now catch that updraft and soar till your heart’s content.
