Neil was born on May 26th 1937 to Joseph & Mildred Thompson in Hitchen, England.
After Neil graduated from Exeter University, he met and married Joanna Michel and they went on to have two children, now named Janine McMahon and Dominic Thompson.
Neil and his family then emigrated in 1966 from Buckland, England to Victoria, B.C, Canada when Neil was appointed as a French lecturer at the University of Victoria.
Later Neil went on the teach French for many years at George Bonner school in Mill Bay, B.C.
Neil was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Mildred Thompson. Neil is survived by his two children Janine McMahon & Dominic Thompson.
According to his wishes, Neil will cremated at 4725 Falaise Dr, in Victoria, B.C. and his ashes will be spread at Cattle Point, Victoria, B. C. where the ashes of both his parents were previously spread.
