After graduating school in Chemainus, Les worked in different areas in BC, Fort Nelson, Prince George and Ocean Falls before settling in Victoria.
He worked with Ken and Jackie at Roto Rooter for 28 years, and his cheerfulness and ethics will be sorely missed.
Les was a voracious reader, natural history, politics, sci-fi and virtually every subject under the sun were of interest to him. He had an insatiable curiosity.
Les came from a large family, and if helping his siblings out wasn’t enough, he had a larger group of friends who could always rely on a cheerful hand from Les with whatever needed doing.
Les is predeceased by his father, John Rooney, brother John and sister Janice.
Survived by brothers Paul, Patrick, Daniel and Peter, sister Katherine and brother in law Jack McCamy.
Cousins too numerous to mention! Niece Arynne and husband Jeff ten Have Nephews Devlin and Tristan Great nieces Evelyn and June.
