Jane Marson, our beloved Sister, number 3 of 7 children of Stephanie Marson (Psaila) and Jack (John E.) Marson transitioned/passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022. Jane arrived on planet/born on April 27th, 1952 in Barbados, W.I. where we all grew up and enjoyed a beautiful tropical island life. We all knew she was very special. Mummy told me that she was born with a caul around her little baby body. As a result she was slippery and slipped out and was dropped at birth which created a lifetime of spinal pain which worsened as she matured, and other health challenges which she carried quietly and with grace throughout her life.
Jane was a ‘Convent Girl’ where she went to school from Montessori to Graduation. We were all so proud of her to be the first to Graduate University in Sociology at the University of Waterloo in which she followed with a career helping others in her field.
Jane was an adventurer and a bit of a wild child! As a young adult, still in teens she was nowhere to be found and next we knew we received a phone call from London, England where she just decided she would go with her boyfriend and lived the jet-set lifestyle in London for a few years! As an adult she later immigrated to Canada and lived in Vancouver, Toronto, Collingwood and then back to the West Coast in Victoria, B.C. where she loved and thrived. After selling her home in Collingwood she found the most perfect sunny, bright and delightful apartment in central Victoria, just a walk to everything which she loved. She would tell everyone how happy she was there. It had everything including a sunny balcony where her green thumb was evident, and the easy accessibility to life and friendships was perfect for her. Sarah made many trips to visit and help her paint and make it even more perfect and assisted her with all sorts of odd jobs that they did together. Eric and aRAYah’ (Alixe) visited while Sarah was also visiting a couple of years and made beautiful memories. Of course no one would have imagined that anything would change.
Our family is left deeply sad and missing our 3rd sibling.
We are: Mary Odriozola-Marson, Alixe (aRAYah’) Vanwells, Sarah Hill, John Marson, Anne Marson (partner John Xuereb) and Patricia Marson (husband Mario Annecchini).
Her nieces and Nephews are: Marie Claire Simpson (Hill) & Stephanie-Rose (daughter), Dominic Hill (AJ his wife & twins Sky & Kingston) & Adam Hill; Daniel Brown (& wife Jackie), Santi Odriozola, Dr. Stephanie Odriozola & Spouse Adrian (& baby Leo) & Alvaro. Jane adored Leo and created a WhatsApp ‘Leo’s Fan Club’ where Steph uploaded videos and photos almost daily which she LOVED watching and brought much joy and laughter to her day.
Jane’s sudden departure has left a hole in our hearts. We miss her beautiful, generous, caring and intelligent soul. She was a rebel, an artist and had a wonderful talent with the written word. She loved fiercely and spent her life searching for the truth and answers to health, life and Spirituality. Jane sought love and found it in many places, including her extended Spiritual family all over the world. Her warm personality touched so many as has been shown in the outpouring of love since she left us here.
Jane traveled to India several times and other parts of the world in pursuit of her devotion to her Guru Mooji in which Sarah joined on a trip to Portugal a few years ago.
In the last few months of her life, she found intense clarity and many noticed a new-found lightness and deep understanding beyond even her own conscious knowledge was aware of.
Jane’s Spiritual Group hosted a Memorial & Tribute to her on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4th that her family was invited to join. It was two beautiful hours honouring her and her journey in this particular life time.
Our hearts grieve her unexpected passing and we miss her so much already. We are grateful for her continued love and light and I know she would want us to thank all of her friends in Barbados, Canada and around the world for their part in her life. She thrived on love and friendship.
Thank you from her loving family.
