Gordon was predeceased by his brother Robert. He is survived by his sister, Helen, and is fondly remembered by nephews Ronald Taylor of St. Lambert, Quebec, and David Taylor (Lorna) of Pickering Ont., by his nieces Nancy Hartfelder (Bruce) of Edmonton and Joanne Taylor of Montreal , and by their families.
Gordon did all his schooling in Montreal and subsequently worked at the Montreal Children’s Hospital for over 32 years. He was recognized for his diligence and near perfect work attendance throughout his working years; it was a rarity if he obliged to use one of his accumulated “sick days”. He loved to travel and always used his vacations to the fullest, going coast to coast across Canada as well as to a number of USA states, and other locations, with both friends and family.
After moving to Victoria in 1993, Gordon continued to enjoy some leisurely travel and he was especially appreciative of the number of friends he met and enjoyed over the years. He always saw the best in others and did not know anything other than being kindly and gentle toward those in his life.
