He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Lydia Duke and his cherished daughter, Christine (age 17 years).
Gordon is survived by his loving wife,Carrol, and sons whom he loved and of whom he was so proud : Daniel Duke (Sheila) of Bellevue, Wa. and Thomas Duke of Victoria. An added joy in his life was his granddaughters Meghan and Emily (Dan and Sheila). His sister Joan Sawatzky (Robert) resides in Saskatoon.
Gordon was born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan on May 30, 1943. He obtained his education in small towns of Saskatchewan, graduating from Conquest. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he earned a BSC then his Medical degree in 1964. Gordon interned and did a surgery residency at Hurley Hospital, Flint, Michigan. He completed a 4 year sub-specialty in Urology at Tulane University and Charity/Veterans Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gordon practiced Urology for thirty years with the Urology Associates in Regina ,Saskatchewan. During this time he served as President of the Saskatchewan Medical Association, President of the Regina Regional Medical Association, was active with the Canadian Medical Association and Canadian Christian Medical and Dental association.
Gordon was a loving husband, father and grandfather . He was a healer and a teacher. Gordon was passionate about serving and always aware of his blessings in life. His Christian faith prompted him and Carrol to carry out 3 short-term medical missions in China and upon retirement an extended time on a medical mission in Nepal.
The family wish to thank the medical professionals who provided care and support during his illness: Dr. N. MacPherson at the Cancer Clinic and family physicians doctors K. McQueen and A. Dutoit and Oak Bay Community Health.
The love and support from family, friends and church family sustained the family throughout . Gordon's love for His Savior made his passing a joyful event.
A service celebrating and remembering Gordon will take place at a later date when community health conditions are safer. Arrangements have been carried out through Dignity Memorial ( First Memorial Funeral services Falaise Drive Victoria).

Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2pm
The service will also be livestreamed and recorded at the Central Baptist Church, Victoria website.
