In the light of the noonday, it is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of Donald Douglas Cliffe, our beloved Dad, Grandpa, Comrade and Friend on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Victoria, BC.
Don was born in Hamilton, Ontario on September 12, 1925, eldest son of the late Wilfrid and Ethel Cliffe.
He was predeceased by his wife, June; his sister, Dorothy and his brother, Fred.
Don joined the RCAF for Active-duty service in WWII. His public service included the RCMP (C/Supt.), BC Director of Liquor Control and Licensing, Past-President of the Red Cross and the RCL – Branch #7, lifetime member.
Don is survived by his brother Bill and sister-in-law June; his daughters, Shirley (Errol) Keetch, Janet Olinoski (Manuel Thibault), and Nancy (Bill) Knott; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
A burial service will be held at the RCMP Depot Cemetery in Regina at the convenience of the family.
