I remember when Uncle Dave lived with my family in Rossland, while he was teaching in Trail.  I remember when he brough Aunt Gwen to meet the family and my sister, Heather and I told him if he did not marry her, then we would never talk to him again.  We were so happy when he got engaged.  I remember all the fun times we had as a family.  I am so sorry to read of his passing ,  My deepest condolences to Aunt Gwen and the boys and their families.   I would love to reconnect with the family as I have many memories to share.

Mr. Welch was my grade 7 teacher at Marigold, many, many years ago.  He was one of my favourite teachers of ALL TIME.  He was a kind and gentle man. I remember his old Chevy had a leak in the gas tank and it was dripping on the gravel. It was cold outside and he brought the whole class outside to show us how gas freezes. I'll never forget the many teachable moments in his class and I have thought of him often over the last 50 years.  I wish there were more people like him in this world.  My condolences to your family on the loss of a great human being.

My condolences to the family of Dave.  He was a good neighbour, and always a pleasure to talk with.

Mr. Welch was one of those teachers that you never forget over the course of your life. Everyone loved him! Agriculture was what he taught me, and his name is still very well known around the Saanich Peninsula. Deepest condolences to the family....Barry Tateham
