Shirley Ann Baker

Shirley Ann (White) Baker, 87 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Monday August 12, 2024 at 4”54 AM at Village Green Health Campus. Shirley was born August 24, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Ingold) White.

Shirley worked as a secretary at the Versailles School District; she enjoyed quilting, making t-shirt quilts, flags for the high school flag corp; and cooking for her family. She especially loved her dog Duchess.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Gene Baker; her brothers, Harry M. White, and Paul White; and her sisters, Mary Margaret White, Ada Updyke, and Dorothy Reboulet.

Shirley is survived by her children and spouses, Donald and Sharon Baker of Florida, Ted and Deb. Baker of Versailles, Cheryl and Steve Swallow of Versailles, and Rich and Deb Baker of Troy; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio with Steve Swallow officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or Village Green Health Campus.
