Violet Smith

She was only two years old (and an only child) when her mother passed away so she was raised by her grandparents. Mom was predeceased by her father in 1990. In Mom’s younger years she worked in the packing house, cooked in a couple of local restaurants and finished her working years as a janitor for the hospital.

Mom is survived by her four children: son, Bill and his wife Gaylene and their children, Troy and Darcie of Spruce Grove, Alberta; daughters: Evelyn Smith and her husband Bob Kirschner of Vernon, daughter, Beverly Schneider and her husband Don, and their daughter Dawn-Ann and her husband, Bill Rieger and their son, Anten, all of Queen Charlotte Islands; daughter, Joy Smith of Vernon and her daughter, Jody Smith and son, Tylor, both of Toronto, Ontario.

‘Going to miss you so much! We love you, Mom.’

A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
