August 11, 1939 – September 7, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sheila. Sheila encountered complications after a fall that she could not overcome.
Sheila was born in Vancouver. It was there that she met her one and only love, Jim. She married into a life in the air force and although that allowed her to travel she never made it through her bucket list of places she wanted to go. Sheila was always game to try something different. She was a real people person and loved to socialize. She was the kind of person people remembered. She still had lunches with a fantastic group of ladies she went to school with. She had great friends from Skiing and golfing whose friendship she treasured. She loved to keep in touch with family and celebrated everybody’s success no matter how large or small. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, GG (great grandmother) and friend. She was a remarkable woman.
Sheila was predeceased by the love of her life, Jim, who she dearly missed. Prior to passing she smiled when she talked about seeing Jim again. She was not alone in passing and passed peacefully. While we are experiencing great sorrow in losing her, she is experiencing great joy in being reunited with Jim.
Sheila is survived by her younger brother, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also had an extended family that she loved as if they were her own. Throughout her life Sheila always put everyone before herself. She was always there when anyone needed her. She was a truly beautiful person and will be missed more than words can express.
Family and friends are invited to get together for an informal celebration of her life at the house on Saturday September 17, 2022 from 1-3 pm
