He had a long career in mechanics, specifically working for GM for many years. Cars were a passion of his since he was a young man. Later in life he developed a passion and exceptional talent for carpentry and woodworking, creating some stunning work for friends and family throughout their homes.
Jim found his true happiness and peace when he found his slice of heaven on the "westside" in the 80's, developing some of the deepest friendships in his life. He loved boating, waterskiing, wing nights, and working in the shop. His favorite pastime was drinking a kokanee while riding the mower and tending to his luxurious lawn! Lake life was his dream and he opened his home to so many.
When he wasn't at home you could easily find him down the road at Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club. He loved getting out there first thing in the morning and "chin wagging" with whoever he was paired with or the staff. Golf was a huge part of his life and brought him a lot of joy.
His friends and family are left with countless, extraordinary memories. Perhaps the biggest part of Jim that will be missed is his sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh, it is what drew so many people into his circle. From "Jim-ism's", to the outrageous stories he could tell about his life, he was an ongoing source of entertainment.
Jim is predeceased by his parents Ron and Jean fox, and lives on through his current wife Leona Scholefield, Daughters Tammi, Jamie, and Payton (previous marriage to Hollie), Brother Ken Fox (Gerry Fox), Sister Judy Walsh (Gord Walsh), Grandchildren Rayden and Tyler Baginski and their dad Leszek, Cheyanne and Jasmine Fox, and a great grandchild Kaidence Fox. He would want his family and friends remember him with love and to "party on". A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be able to incorporate his favorite things and people. A memorial page has been set up on Facebook for people to send their kind words, memories, photos, and to receive info on the celebration of life. www.facebook.com/groups/jimfox
