It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Waldron on Friday, May 24th, 2019 at Verdun Hospital at the age of 55, surrounded by his family and friends, after a brief battle against cancer.
Son of Alfred William Waldron and Dorothy Jobson, he is now reunited with his beloved parents and his brother Ronald.
Loving father of Donna (Marie-Eve) and John, he will also be greatly missed by his cherished sister Judith (Jacques), his brother Billy from Vancouver Island, BC, his sister Catherine (Wayne) from Mississauga, ON, his dear niece Melissa from Calgary, AB, his nieces Jessica, Ceilidh and Sarah Elizabeth, the mother of his children Cindy, his cousins (the Fellows family) and his friends, particularly Brandy and Doreen, who he shared precious moments with until the end.
As a dedicated fan of the Montreal Canadians hockey team and the band KISS, Ken was also known for his simplicity, his sense of humor and his passionate discussions.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at the Laurent Thériault Funeral Home, Dignity Memorial, located at 512, de l'Église Street in Verdun, on Saturday, June 1st, starting at 3:00 pm, a small commemoration will be held at 5:30 pm.
His interment will be held with the family at the Rideau Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the palliative care team from Verdun Hospital and to his home care nurse Mrs. Guylaine Marcoux. Even if it was for a short time, her good care allowed him to stay home as long as possible like he had wished for.
