Edna Urquhart Cunningham

Edna M Cunningham Urquhart, 90, of Wellington St, Pointe St Charles passed away on April 20, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ripples, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Urquhart and Clara (Anketell) Urquhart.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Stuart Cunningham, her daughter Carol Grose and son Wayne Cunningham, sisters, Jessie, Dorcas & Annie and brother Harley Urquhart.

Edna will be sadly missed by her son, Eric Cunningham (Donna) of Toronto, her daughter, Karen Cunningham (Pierre) of Montreal, her 14 grandchildren, 30, great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, sister Marjorie Lorette of Moncton, NB, foster daughters, extended family and friends.

She lived for her family and was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She was a devoted member of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Pointe St. Charles.

She was loved for her strength, kind nature and warm hugs. For those who knew Edna, she enjoyed going to church sales but her favorite thing was cooking for her family and friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday May 4, 2019 from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. The celebration of life will be at 7:30 pm at the Laurent Theriault funeral homes, 512 rue de l'Eglise, Verdun 514-769-3867 (parking and ramp is available)

A Funeral service will be held at Saint-Gabriel church in presence of the ashes on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 2pm.
