Someone who, though youve thought of only as a mother all your life, was also an intelligent child who had a pet raccoon and learned to ride horses before she could walk. A beautiful, intelligent young woman who loved to dance and go out with her friends. A loving wife who married her high school sweetheart, Darrel Larsen on the "Bride and Groom" radio show and partnered with him in ventures like "The Shrimp Boat" hamburger stand,"Ollies Coffee Shop", "The Vogue Sign Company", "Oxnard Oil Refinery". Potato Farming" in Mexico, "The Wagon Wheel Restaurant" and music.... there was always music in our house full of musicians. Mom was a gifted seamstress who could knit, crochet and sew anything she set her mind to. And what a mind she had. She was a crossword fanatic and read everything she could get her hands on. And to top it off, she was a doting grandmother. Martha Geraldine Orrell born on June 1, 1924 in a tiny log cabin in Bolivar, Missouri was named after the two women who helped deliver her. She and her husband of 67 years raised 2 successful daughters, Valerie and Rhonda Larsen. She didnt have a bucket list. She lived life every day to its fullest and when the time came, passed with dignity and grace surround by friends and loved ones. Martha Geraldine Orrell Larsen. Though we tearfully watch her go, were comforted in the knowledge that her parents and grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends will all be on the other side waiting for her with smiles and cries of joy saying, "Here she comes!"
