She moved to California as a child. Attended Nordhoff High School. Met her husband Bill Hansen, Jr in Ojai in 1947 and married soon after. They were gifted with a couple of acres in the Upper Ojai Valley and built a house from a kit where she lived for the next 73 years.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bill Hansen, Jr.; an infant son Gary Hansen; and daughter Janet Moncus.
She is survived by daughter, Susan (John) Thompson of Ventura; son, Billy (Linda) Hansen, III of Oak View; and son, Tim (Cindy) Hansen of Camarillo; grandchildren, Kevin Thompson, Randy Thompson, Billy C. Hansen, IV, Ellie Hansen, Trever Hansen, Billy (Ruth) Moncus, Mindy Moncus and Bryant (Stephanie) Moncus; great grandchildren, Dylan and Chad Moncus, Riley Thompson, and Haley, Hanna, Ryker and Cooper Thompson; brother, Charles (Julie) Pruitt of Washington.
Lois was a very special Aunt to several nieces and nephews. She still had an Oklahoma Aunt and Uncle and cousins remaining from the good old days. Lois is also survived by a special friend, Dana Champion, who cared for her during her final days and sent her on her final journey with a favorite song "Spirit in the Sky".
