Chuck was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on September 8, 1936 to Cleotus and Jewel Guinn. As a young child, Chuck moved to Tehachapi, Calif. with his family where he would later graduate from High School. Shortly after graduation Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, Chuck moved to Ventura where he met his future wife, Naomi Guinn (Hale), they would marry in 1961. Together they had their son, Todd, who joined with Naomi’s three children from a previous marriage.
Work brought Chuck and his family to San Luis Obispo for a period before returning to Ventura where he would live for the rest of his life. Chuck was an avid outdoorsmen, he loved to camp and fish.
Chuck is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Naomi Guinn; sons, Gene Hale and Todd Guinn; daughters, Robin Young and Teresa Ross; sister, Patricia Colquitt; brother, Howard Guinn; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Per his wishes, Chuck was cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
