Bernadette B. Tolibas

Bernadette B. Tolibas, 54, of Ventura, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, following a brief illness. She was born on January 19, 1959, in Manila, San Andres, Makati City, the Philippines to Raymond C. Buenaflor and Concordia T. (Caraan) Buenaflor. She had been a Ventura County resident for 25 years.

Bernadette earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her nursing career of over twenty years had been with Community Memorial Hospital, Livingston Memorial Hospice, Kaiser, and Ventura County Medical Center as case manager.

Bernadette was preceded in death by her father, Raymond C. Buenaflor. She is survived by her husband of over thirty-one years, Rolando “Ron” Tolibas of Ventura; mother, Concordia T.(Caraan) Buenaflor of San Francisco; three brothers and two sisters and their spouses; numerous family members and extended family members.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30th, from 3 to 7 p.m. followed by a prayer vigil, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Funeral Mass will take place Friday, May 31st, 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 3175 Telegraph Road, Ventura, with The Reverend Steve Correz officiating.
