Gayla was born Gayla Belle Quesenberry on November 30, 1935, in Hillsville, VA. She and was the daughter of Crockett Lee Quesenberry and Annie Quesenberry (maiden name Anna Marie White). She had 10 brothers and sisters.
Gayla married Edward Fabianski on October 3, 1953, in York S.C. and had Valerie and Ronald. She later married Thomas Elia Dimo on October 29, 1966 in Waterbury, CT. and had Kimberly Carrie and Kris Gail Dimo. She leaves behind these four children: Valerie Fabianski, Ronald Fabianski, Kimberly Dimo Prato and Kris Gail Silva. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Gayla loved to travel and lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Connecticut, Delaware, and Texas, before settling down originally in Englewood and finally Venice, Florida for 35 years. Gayla was a true confidant and honored mother to her 4 children.
She kept a very strong bond with her immediate family and friends and was loved by all. She worked the majority of her formative years at Timex Corporation in Waterbury, CT. Later on, she helped her daughter Valerie with a lady’s store in Connecticut and then became a small business owner herself and opened a boutique with her daughter Kimberly in Conroe, TX. She was an excellent cook and an avid shopper. The family extends great appreciation to the wonderful care provided to her by all.
She loved her faith, her family and her friends dearly. Her love of our Lord Jesus Christ shined brightly, and she remained disciplined in the bible and its teachings until her final days. Her strong faith has guided her children, and her life… for all her days. May she Rest in Peace. “God is light; in him there is no darkness…”. 1 John 1:5
