Stephen was born in Vancouver and in his early years grew up in Maple Ridge, graduating from Maple Ridge Senior Secondary in 1986. He was a talented athlete who played baseball, soccer, and basketball throughout his school years. He was also a competitive BMX racer and break dancer, even spending a few years teaching at Peggy Peats School of Dance during the rise of street dancing in the 80s. He also enjoyed playing men’s recreational hockey, boating, surfing and remained active throughout his life.
After graduating from the Acting School and spending a summer in New York training at Circle in the Square Theatre School Stephen moved to Hollywood in 1991 to pursue his dreams of becoming an Actor. In 1993 he returned to Vancouver to work in the growing local film industry both as an aspiring actor and Carpenter. He was also a Production Manager for multiple concerts, festivals, and other large events.
Stephen met his wife Brie in 1999 and have been together ever since. Stephen was so good at events he planned their engagement in Thailand and their wedding in 2004. After they were married they bought Stephen’s family home in Vancouver where they made many wonderful memories. In 2012 Stephen and Brie welcomed their daughter Nyah.

He sold his business and the last few years was able to spend time with his daughter Nyah. Taking her to school, dance, biking, swimming and being an all round fantastic Daddy. Stephen loved going to the beach with her and attending her many Dance performances.
Stephen was always busy learning, laughing, creating, dancing and cooking. He loved music; strumming a guitar; creating tracks with his turntables; jamming with his friends and getting his own drum set to happily play at home. Stephen loved gardening and was always bringing plants home or as gifts. He also had a passion for cars. His 66 Dodge Convertible was his pride and joy.
Due to pandemic restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
