I take comfort in remembering Mark as a friend and coworker….we shared the love of film and he is missed at our theatre, Cineplex Marine Drive Gateway.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family I wish Mark eternal, peace and happiness and his friends and colleagues at Cineplex Marine Drive miss him.

My deepest condolences to Mark's family on his passing. He was a memorable, gentle person who made an impact on those he met. He will be missed.

I will always remember my dear cousin Mark as a soft spoken, loving, helpful and family oriented person. I had never seen him get mad. He valued family reunions and was willing to spend his own money to cater to his cousins and nephews and nieces. I remembered in one occasion Cousin Mark spent his own money for a family outing to Capilano on one of our visits in Vancouver. Growing up in the Philippines, I will not forget how generous the Defenio’s family are. Cousin Mark and cousin Michelle as they go on vacations during their growing up years, they were always willing to share their toys and new gaming gadgets such as Nintendos and Pac-Man and the gaming cassettes that goes along with it. Mark having bought the new Nintendo and Pac-Man games was never hesitant to leave those gamings behind to give to his cousins especially Roy who is about the same age as him. Roy would like to thank you cousin Mark for all the toys and gamings you had given   him over the years..He is constantly praying for you    with his singles for Christ group in the Philippines.  My son Christopher and my daughter Tehya would  also like to thank you for introducing them to new  video games such as the Smash Brawl Bro’s and for  treating them to theater to watch movies. You  made their vacation fun and memorable.  Cousin Mark is also a selfless person as he does not want to bother anyone or inconvenient anyone with his own affairs. I remembered as we dropped him off to a bus stop my son made a comment about his Uncle Mark, there is a guy that comes in a Small Package with a BIG Heart. Indeed, that’s what you are Cousin Mark.. I would like to extend our condolences to Uncle Nani, Cousin Michelle and family and to the Defenio’s family and Delariarte family. Rest In Peace Cousin Mark and I am sure the Good Lord will welcome you in open arms as well as your Mom. With Love Always, Cousin Bingbing Halsey

Im so very sorry for you loss. Mark was truly one of the good guys, kind, gentle annd accepting always! We worked together at Cineplex Box for 4 years. He will be missed

Mark, Saya and I will miss your cheerful and happy demeanor.  You were always positive and upbeat especially during the hockey pool and get-togethers and even when we bumped into you at the theatre.

We both hope you are in a better place now.

You will be missed.

I just wanted to thank you for all of the wonderful memories we had together. The drinking times, poker nights, hockey pool, and all of the other good laughs we've shared over the years. Cheers to you in heaven, my friend.
