It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Kam Oi Cheung on August 10, 2014 in Vancouver. Born in September 20, 1936, in Enping, province of Guangdong, China, Mrs. Cheung moved to Hong Kong in 1963 before immigrating to Vancouver in 1975. Mrs. Cheung is survived by her loving family: husband, Yun Chiu, daughters Marilyn, Susan (Donald), Paula (David) and Tina (Hugh), and grandsons Vincent, Evan, Brendan and Jeremy. Kam Oi will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a proud, generous, and caring woman with a very strong will. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Vancouver General Hospital Acute Care Ward for their compassion and care. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 25 at 9:30 am at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel at 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby.
