Darcy Van Joseph

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, dad, brother. Darcy was born to his mother Marjorie ‘Rose’ Mary (nee: Tom) and father Lawrence Stanley Joseph on Capilano IR No. 5 on June 25, 1957 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 29, 2016 on Capilano IR No. 5.

To Darcy it was natural that he began to carve in his early teens. Darcy is a proud member of the Squamish First Nation and descends from a large artistic family. He learned from his father fine details and Darcy's sureness of line and satin finish is irresistible to admirers of his work. Darcy is survived by and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Jolene Joseph-Paull; daughters Sharon, Dawn (Tom), Susanne, Lisa (Victor) and Ashley (Orlando); Son Darcy; grandchildren Jay, Todd, Malcolm, Veidra, Acey, Tom, Chenoa, Amiera, Savaitha and Amitolia; and siblings Chief Floyd, Delmar, Melody, Lawrence, Joy (Daryl), Chester (Colleen) and Ruth (Eddie); and many loving relatives and dear friends.

A prayer funeral service will be held on Monday July 4, 2016 at 7:00 pm and a funeral service on Tuesday July 5, 2015 at 10:00 am both at Totem Hall, 1380 Stawamus Road, Highway 99, Squamish, BC. On line condolences can be found at www.glenhavenmemorialchapel.com.
