Melissa “Janey” Veach, 52, of Fort Smith, AR, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in a local hospital. She was born in Fort Smith to Coy and Joann Veach, and was employed by Terminix. She attended Goddard United Methodist Church and was a foster parent.
She is survived by four sons, Jacob Veach, Dustin Brown and Larry Sosebee of Fort Smith, and Jonathan Bird of Roland, OK; four sisters, Nancy Counts and Mary Williams of Alma, AR, Pat Helmes of Greenwood, AR, and Carolyn Buell of Fort Smith; one brother, Coy Veach of Texas; and four grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren. Mrs. Veach will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
